‘New in Town’ has been released in the US back in January 30th, but its still to be shown here in the Philippines this month and I just recently noticed the movie’s poster! Renée Zellweger is sitting on a Louis Vuitton Trunk in Monogram Canvas… c’est chic! Here’s a desktop that can be downloaded from the New in Town website.

New in Town is an American romantic comedy film, directed by Jonas Elmer, starring Renée Zellweger and Harry Connick Jr. It follows a story about a high-powered consultant (Renée Zellweger) in love with her upscale Miami lifestyle is sent to New Ulm, Minnesota to oversee the restructuring of a blue collar manufacturing plant. After enduring a frosty reception from the locals, icy roads and freezing weather, she warms up to the small town’s charm, and eventually finds herself being accepted by the community. When she’s ordered to close down the plant and put the entire community out of work, she’s forced to reconsider her goals and priorities, and finds a way to save the town.

Celebrity Endorsements: Despite her recent personal drama, The Material Girl is striking a pose for Louis Vuitton, one of the most well-known luxury brands in the world.

The latest LV collection is to be designed by luxury American designer Marc Jacobs and Madonna is representing the brand through a series of provocative poses.

“I wanted the campaign to be very bold, very sensual and very atmospheric,” Jacobs was quoted as saying in a statement.

“To carry this off,” he added, “we needed the ultimate performer — and for me, that is Madonna.”

Madonna appears in a smoky Paris 1940s-style bar as Jacobs’ “vision of the quintessential Parisienne,” dressed in fishnet stockings, stunning shoes, and the latest Vuitton “it” bag.

Despite her reputation for bulging veins and out of control muscles, the 50-year old performer appears seductive and flexible as she extends a leg into the air while posing on an antique café chair, with the Vuitton bag resting on her shoulder, for one ad.

In the another ad, the bag has changed and moved onto a table, while Madonna sits beside it, with seductively open legs.

Jacobs was inspired to use the high profile performer after attending one of the popstar’s performances in Paris.

“I just blurted out, “I think we should do Madonna,”" Jacobs told WWD. “I was totally just blown away by it, and moved by her performance, by what she had to say, and her energy.”

Steven Meisel is the photographer for the shoot. He has a long history of working with Madonna, as he shot her for her infamous Sex book, and he most recently shot the Vanity Fair cover, in which she held a giant globe.

Madonna has also appeared in campaigns for Gap, Versace, H&M and Max Factor, but with a history of over 150 years, Louis Vuitton is the biggest luxury name.

Stephen Sprouse (September 12, 1953 - March 4, 2004) was a fashion designer and artist credited with pioneering the 1980s mix of “uptown sophistication in clothing with a downtown punk and pop sensibility”

Sprouse died at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City of heart failure, after a closely guarded diagnosis of lung cancer a year before. He was 50.

A book on the career of Stephen Sprouse, “The Stephen Sprouse Book”, by Roger Padilha and Mauricio Padilha (with a foreword by Tama Janowitz), was released by Rizzoli on January 13, 2009.

In the latest of the celebrity infused advertisements, the french fashion house Louis Vuitton looks forward to the original, classic and timeless “James Bond” for a cool looking campaign were Sir Sean Connery is to be featured in the core values campain of LV underlining its travel roots, Arnaut reiterated that the core value spots, launched a year ago with Mikhail Gorbachev, have led to good results on the products shown in campaigns. Mr Connery was a natural choice that he was in the company’s list for some time.

The shot was taken near his beach residence in the Bahamas.The actor is propped on a wooden dock next to the super waterproof version of the LV’s Keep-all bag. Arriving just in time for the release of the new James Bond movie “Quantum of Solace” stars Daniel Craig, LV’s Connery images are slated to run roughtly a year, in tandem with other personalities from the series which includes Keith Richards, Francis Coppola and his directing daughter named Sofia.
